A little about Avalon Tattoo Inc.

There are two Avalon locations: Avalon I in beautiful Pacific Beach owned by Patty Kelley, is the first and most established custom tattoo shop in San Diego with over 21 years of business. Our second shop is Avalon II in eclectic North Park and is owned by Fip Buchanan.

Both of our shops have an award-winning team of professional artists from around the world who are very versatile and creative.

Avalon features 12 professional artists between its two locations. All our artists are very versatile and creative. We utilize the latest techniques and sterilization available, to give you the very best on your skin.

Employment

Avalon Tattoo Inc. is always seeking to hire tattoo artists for employment at our locations. Applicants must meet the following requirements.

• 1. Applicants must have a minimum of 5 years professional tattooing experience in a shop enviroment.
• 2. Applicants must submit a well organized portfolio of recent work and a resume with professional, contactable references. Other mediums of art such as drawing, painting and photography may be included in your portfolio.
• 3. Basic knowledge of computer applications such as Photoshop and Illustrator are a plus but are not required.
• 4. Applicants must be clean and personable.

• 5. Applicants must be free of drug and alcohol abuse.
• 6. Applicants must have their own equipment. Certain supplies are provided for the tattoo artist but applicants must have tattoo machines, tubes, and tattoo needles.
• 7. Although Avalon Tattoo Inc. is known for custom work, it is required that the applicants are willing to do walk-ins and work from flash.
